Hey guys....I'm new to the forum so I thought I would start by adding some photos and asking a couple questions. My car is a 2007 Kia Rio LX, and so far I've only put on some 17" ADR rims with Lexani tires, a KFX strut bar, Innovatek in-dash DVD/CD player, and I have a KFX short shifter (which brings me to my first question). KFX is just about the only company that makes aftermarket parts for my lil Korean and unfortunately they don't even know how to install the short shifter they sell for it. Sooooo, I was wondering if anyone could help with the install? Second question....I haven't been able to find a CAI for my car so I've been looking into making my own...any suggestions on how to do this. This car doesn't have a maf.

Pics of the engine bay may help. You definitely DO NOT want to use PVC piping for the intake.

Well, I'd start by removing the filter box. See if there is any tubing or a hole that runs into the fender/bumper. You may have to remove the bumper if there is tubing or a resonator in the fender/bumper. If there is a hole, then fab up some piping from the throttle boby into the hole and put the filter at the end of it.

As for materials....I heard of a guy buying about a 3' piece of exhaust pipe pipe bent 180 degrees and then cutting it at the appropriate spots and using plumbing couplers to hold it together. Anybody make their own CAI or think that exhaust pipe would work? Thanks
